21 Sep 2024: The Forums have been updated to phpBB 3.3.13. I hope this rectifies the unusual activity detected several days ago.
18 Sep 2024: There has been some unusual high volume traffic to the Forums causing it to crash. I don't think the volume is actual real crabbers. As a result, I have temporarily disabled the Forums so that I can investigate this issue further.

Storeys

Why should I consider making a second storey?

Hermit crabs cannot fly, so it is a good idea to make use of all the space in the tank by building a second storey. This gives your hermit crabs more areas to roam and exercise.

How do I make a second storey?

This depends on how much room left you have in your tank after building the ground level. You can use shower caddies, Lego, plastic racks, snap hook suction cups and hemp nets to build a second storey. Make sure none of your materials have exposed metal surfaces and will not collapse to crush any unfortunate hermit crabs underneath.
