my crab died yesterday from stress,I think.I am not certain wat happend but I think that my cat scared him.

Im sorry for your loss. It could have been PPS. PPS is Post perchase syndrom. This is when going form the wild, to the store, to your house and the bad conditions while in that store, kills them

It probably wasn't your cat, lol.

you do have to be careful about that. i've lost a few to PPS. not much is known about hermies and why they pass, unfortunately.

Hi. My first crab died last night. He was fine 2 days ago and then him and his 2 other friends just stopped coming out of the hut. I checked and he was dead. I changed all the water and did research. I think it might be the temp/humidity change. We had them in with our tree frogs which have a high humidity to their own 10 gal which has none. Would an undertank heating mat help? Im scared to lose the other 2. Please help me save my crabbies!

Sorry to hear about your lose. Do you still have them in with your tree frogs? If so you should get them their own tank. You need to have their humidity at 80-90%. Their temp should be 75-85*F. You would use the UTH to help keep your temps up. It can help with humidity too if you place it under the part with your water bowls.
