I've heard that each moult takes longer.
Is there any consensus among owners about the legnth of time for each moult?
This time it took 49 days , 9 days longer than the last time. It was the 3rd for me, perhaps the 6th in Azazul's lifetime.
If we could collaborate on a spreadsheet or a matrix, that would help with knowing how long is normal for each molt.

Re: Moulting duration consensus
It would be great if something like this could be done, but the hermies just don't want to seem to cooperate. With the hermies here some have their own time frame, some the same and even the same hermie has differed with a few of their molts. I've had Jumbo's not take as long to molt and recover as a hermie that is either nickle or quarter size. I've had a jumbo molt every 3 months where it has taken some of the smaller hermies take almost a year to molt. I've had a gold ball size hermie molt every 2 months, where another would molt every 6 months... maybe a year?
A normal molt to me is uneventful, where they keep all their legs, eyes, body parts and recover into a deep rich color with a shiny exo and those beautiful dark eyes.

Not weird, unless all of us are weird too!
We are ALL so excited when our crabs come up from molting, it's like a new baby each time. We worry that they might have trouble and may not even come up at all, so of course we are excited. You go on and get all giggly and happy, we all do it. Congratulations on a successful molt!
