Can you help me guess the ages of my hermit crabs? (bored!)

i know its like impossible to tell but... im bored (:
2 of my hermit crabs are roughly quarter size... teeny tiny... im guessing theyre both like a year old maybe? eh? help me guess lol (:
one of my crabs is about... 2 and a half inches long in diameter with the shell hes in right now... like the size of a golf ball, he looks like a little ball too lol its a very rounded shell (: maybe smaller than that, i dont know, its really hard to compare him to something lol he fits perfectly in the palm of your hand... im guessing about 5 or 6 years old... what do you guys think? (:

Mine is about 3 years old and is a pp crab and is about 4 in long out of his shell pp crabs grow about 1/2 in a year.hope this helps

How did u determine his age?

I have had him for 3 years now and recorded his growth to sees how big he got over the year and found out. I don`t know about ecuadorian crabs though

To be 4 inches long the hermie is much older than 3 years old.

I don`t know why but he grows pretty slow and has only molted 1 time before and super-quick too and only changed shells 1 time at the store which surprises me because he is riddiculously shy and timid ...

All my crabs are medium three golfball sized and one teeny one

Well to me they seem that they are probably 19-23 months old

Less than 2 years old for a golf ball-sized crab? That seems really low. There are a lot of factors that go into how quickly a crab grows, but I've seen some estimates that say that a golf ball-sized crab is a minimum of 10 years old and quite possibly even 20!

well thats strange I have never seen one grow so slowly on e of my old hermies was 5 when he became golf ball sized I find it stramge that crab didn`t grow as fast
