Oh... I just throw mine away. I have a deathly fear of dead hermit crabs (yes, I have seven and I'm afraid of dead ones), the two that I've had die on me I had my mom throw out.

im scared of dead crabs too...like idk...just the thought kreeps me out..like if they fall out of there shells and fall on your lap or something...and they smell bead..i usally eather barry,fluch,or trash....

im sorry for ur loss

its alright thanks for all the support everyone, i kept the shell and washed it in boiling water. the crab was fine, I think it died because of the cold weather tho, my room is freezing, but my other crabs did fine. I put on the heat now.
