what is the best types of food to feed to hermit crabs after they have just molted?

Their shed exoskeleton is probably the best they can eat after a molt. It's also one of their favourite foods! Give them plenty of calcium as well protein-rich foods. Also give them carotene, from brightly coloured vegtables such as carrots. Don't give them any citrus fruit, because that is acidic.

CALCIUM after molt

Other forms of calcium are good to have on hand for post-molters too, like crushed oyster shell, cuttlebone, and eggshells. Raspberry leaves have lots of bio-available calcium too!

I think it is also good to have meat and calcium for the non-molters during a molt.

be careful with introducing new meats. i have tried chicken and shrimp 3 times all have been unsuccessful. the only meat that i have noticed they really eat is the bloodworms...
