crab has finally moulted

I have a 10 gallon tank with four PP crabs. Tonight I came home to find 3 crabs hanging around on their hammock. Because I am a new crab mom I tried searching for him and my finger touched his shell under the sand. He is buried quite deep and I covered him back. I have two questions though.

1. Will that kill him since I touched him while he is moulting?
2. How long will small crabs stay under? This is his first moult.
