Where is the Hermit Crabs Mouth?

I've read 4+ books about hermies.. and they never seem to mention there mouths, is there something about this? do they even have mouths? lol... thanks

It's located between their claws and under their eyes. You should see two small "arm-like" mouthparts there.

huh? between there claws? u mean the big pincher has a mouth in it? ill look closer under the eyes

It's located right under where the feelers start, isn't it? I think my hermies "lick" their eyes. I'm not too sure. It's like they lower thier eye and something under the feelers comes up and rubs the eye. Maybe I'll make this a question. I'm really curious.

Yes it up against their bodies under their eyes and between their pinchers where connected to the body. Others have mentioned them "licking" the eyes also.

Ok, i understand where the mouth is, but why doesn't ANY book mention the mouth or where its located? they had a picture of a naked hermit crab and labeled every part of the body, except for the mouth...

I have several pictures printed out of hermies with parts labeled and none of them have the mouth either.

They must assume that all mouths or mouthparts are under the eyes. it would be nice for them to label it though. not every book on hermies is perfect. if they put them all together and took out the bad parts they'd have the perfect book. I think if iluvhermies published her binder that would be the perfect book
