Vegetable Barley contains organic barley, mealworms, mushrooms, mixed vegetables, and walnut.
Oh yes, they love oak. In fact some of the old timers (including Carol of Crabworks--the legendary crab keeper) have always regarded oak leaves to be a "staple" food having the ability to enhance color and regulate digestion.
A healthy way to satisfy the sweet tooth! Kandy Korn popcorn is popped in walnut oil, drizzled with maple syrup & honey, then dusted with apple and date powder.
wow! that's a neat idea! well we finally found a place so i'm going to be looking for new kinds of food to try with my hermies soon. i'd love to try those leaves.

My Russian olive tree is beginning to leaf and I took some new leaves from it and Zamboni badly damaged the pile overnight! The deer eat them around here too. The horses in the pasture live off of dry Cottonwood leaves during the winter when there are no live plants to eat like grass and kochia. My crabs don't go after cottonwood leaves that much, but lots of folks have said that the cottonwood leaves are a big hit with their crabs.
