im not sure the size of my crabs but i have had them since october and they have not molted is that ok. or is there something else i should do for them?
I have 7, 6 boys and one girl. I did what most do i got 2 then 2 more and still couldent stop and got 3 more! their names are Howard, Harriate, Stanley, skippy, Herman, Rex, & Miles. i have had howard and harriet since october 2006 and Stanley and Skippy since march 2007 and herman, rex, & miles since December 2007.

Well it depends. If your conditions are right, then they're probably in no need. But if not, they could be having a problem. So can you tell us everything you can about your tank conditions. It'll make it easier to tell :)

don't they molt when they feel they have enough nutrition?

i have 2 crabs, 10 gallon tank, sand substrate, salt & fresh water
(with sponges for humitity), veriaty bites crab food, 7 extra shells, give a veriaty of other foods such as grapes- carrot- strawberry- pecons- apple- and what ever else i have at the time that i know they can eat. climing bark, climing rock, igloo, fake plants, temp 72-74 humidity 72-74. am i missing anything importent for molting?

Sounds ok...i will suggest getting some calcium in their diet though. Something like eggshells, or cuttlefish bone....i think that's what it's called..lol

thanks for the help i will add some calcium tomorrow. maybe they are just taking their time. i hope you all are there when it happens though because im going to be a nevous reck.

Your conditions sound great. I am sure when they do molt they will be fine.

Yeah, they sound like they are just taking their sweet time, lol. Dont wory, your doing everything right. ONE little thing, try to get heat and humidity a little higher if you can...but if not, its not a big deal, sicne it is in the range. But I know my hermies (pps included) are much more active around 78-82%.

Mine seem to be more active with a higher humidity too. However I have a hermie that I have had since Feb 20, 2006 and he still hasn't molted and I know my conditions are right cause I have had several molters. I have several others that I have had for a while and they haven't even dug down at all.

oh my gosh my crab has been under the sand for like 3 days i dont know but she could be molting. oh my gosh im nervous. cleaned the tank today tryed to do my best not to disturb the sand. hope she ok. wish you didnt have to wait so long to find out if they are ok. and if things went well.
