I would expect you probably were. (No offense meant, so please take no offense at me) Mom can hardly restrain me from taking one of my pet hermies and dissecting it to see if his innards were any different from the crayfish that I dissected yesterday. LOL But I'll wait until one of the crabs dies (I hope they don't) to dissect one.

My sister dissected a puppy we had that died - I know that sounds really gross lol. She was always very interested in medical things. She was about 13 years old. The puppy had died from a fall (very young pup, only a couple weeks old) and she discovered that it had a cracked skull. poor little thing.

So I suppose you could do it if you could get an analytical mind about it. I couldn't have done that with the puppy, but I was really interested in how focused she was about it, and analytical. I didn't watch, I let her tell us what she discovered. She didn't go any further than the head tho, thank god. Even that sounds gross. sorry guys >.<

Myself, I couldn't do it, not even with one of the crabs. I was really creeped out when Larry died, and I can't get the image out of my head of him upside down with bubbles on his abdomen and legs splayed. I think I'm getting so wimpy in my older years. I used to be able to be analytical about this stuff!

Wow! That's really interesting. I think I'd be too emotional to do it on my cat if he died.

He's been my best friend for years. I have such a strong attachment to him that I do believe that I'd be crying.

What's your sister do now for a living? Is she into medicine and science and stuff like that?
