Myself and my wife just went and got our first two crabbies, Both are Es.
when we first got these two home, we put them into the tank (glass 10gal) and they ran around for hours. after doing some reading about them on the net. we quickly learned that the little guys love to climb (also Killer let us know by hanging upside down in the doorway of the coconut house). so the next day we rushed out and bought about 15$ worth of shells (boiled then upon getting home), a plastic fish tank log with silk plants (also boiled), added the nice big salt pool for them (that ive seen them at lots), placed in a seperate fresh water pool also. and added some coconut netting for climbing around (added enough to make almosta second level. our temp/humid are both sitting very nicely around 75 on both (no UTH but plane on getting one soon to warm the sand a bit for thier feet). the problem now is they dont run around any more..... they have both dug their holes once and we let them be to get used to the place, now one just curls next to the log all the time, and the other has placed himself in the corner of the tank facing the wall. any idea on how to maybe liven them up or is this just some sort of fase they are going through?

When you first get a hermie they do like to explore and then once they get use to the place they do slow down and enjoy being in a good setup. They do also go through phases of being active and then also being less active. Just keep doing what you are doing and you could maybe bring the humidity up a bit to around 80.

they are very addicting. just ask iluv how many hermies she's acquired lol. anyway, sounds like you're on the right track. what are you feeding them? do you mist the tank every once in a while? i wouldn't worry too much, they're probly just getting used to their surroundings.

Mine were running around and everything when i first got them n then they settled down for 2 dayz and ran around more they mosly like to sit in the coocnut hut but at night they love to run.

Well you are right, i just went out and upgraded, picked up a 20gal & a 10gal tank with stand (couldnt refuse 150$ for the works) so at the same time i got 2 more crabbies. i now have 4 crabs, Killer, Skitters, Eddie, & Owen. Plus got a second temp for the sand and a UTH.

Ya we refresh the water pools and mist the tank (mostly around the coconut net. ill try to get some pics, we got some more sand to make it look like its a beach with grassy hill. i just need to add more climbing stuff for them now.

we feed them a diet of organic carrots, celery, tuna, & some krell (im getting the wife to pick up some sea weed from the store tonight).
Ok for the salt bath (i think all 4 are Es), we got some fish salt from walmart (dont tell my boss... i work for the compitition). its called Aquarium salt made by API, is this stuff ok or should i find something better.

I am not sure how good that is. I use ZooMed hermit crab water conditioner. Someone else may use it and know.
