i attempted cucumbers, but my girlfriend came to visit me at school and I told her to help herself if she got hungry, well she did, no more cucumber..lol.

they would be a good source of moisture too.

i wonder if you can give them the cucumber skins? I peel my cucumbers so that wou;d be less I would waste.

I would wash it really good first. Wash off any pestiside that might be on it.

I think the skin contains more calcium than the main part of the cucumber, but it is usually coated w/ wax from the store, so you'll have to weigh the pros and cons and decide for yourself.

jedi's right. but if you have other things with calcium, peeling the cucumber won't hurt too bad.
