Odd Behavior/Bully?
I have an E who has that jelly like formation on its missing leg so I figured he/she was ready for a molt real soon. I moved my E hermmie into ISO. My ISO tank already has my other pp who i think is in molt (been buried for 4 days now). Anywayz, the E dug a hole and stayed there for a day, then it came up and when I went to check up on it again, it was digging up my burried pp. This E hermit crab is really misleading, I can't tell if its ready to molt. I moved him/her back into the main tank in fear that it might end up eating the other pp in my ISO tank.

sounds like the first hermie is molting, congrats! but how do you know the other one was digging up the first crab? did you see where the previous one went under? if you haven't had them at long and don't know how they interract with each other, i would keep them separate. keep an eye on him and his missing leg though. i hope that he doesn't have some type of infection.

I knew the E Hermit crab was digging up the other pp crab because I saw where my pp was burried. When I saw the hole my E crab was digging in, I can see the shell of my pp crab, thus I knew my E crab was digging up my pp crab. Not only have I experienced my E crab do this, but I've seen it also poke my other lil hermit crab (nemo) to the point where Nemo had to pull back into his shell. My E hermit crab just seems really aggressive. But he seems the most active, always eating and out and about more often than my other hermits.

i'd keep an eye on him with his doing this before. when your first one comes up, switch them and put the aggressive one into the ISO for awhile aka "hermie time out" lol. after a while put him back in with the others and watch how he behaves.

I totally agree with Jaci you need to put him in time out for about a week then put him back and see how he does. He may not have been trying to dig up the pp he just might have been trying to find someplace to bury himself. Better safe than sorry though so I think you did the right thing moving him back to the main tank. Just watch him. Youmay need to get him his own ISO before the other one comes up.
