it's ok. i'm just glad that i made her remaining time happy. i think that her weird molt complicated things somehow.

Jaci I am so sorry for your lose. Sry it has taken me so long to see this but my sister-in-law has been on talking to my brother who is over in Iraq. (He will be coming home in about 2 weeks. Thank God)

i'm so glad that your brother is coming home! iraq is an awful place to go right now. there's so much death over there. adam was over there for a while until him and his friend were ambushed and he got shot twice. he wasn't allowed to re-enlist bc he can't feel his thumb and index finger, so he can't shoot a gun. he was a parachutist, i'm grateful that he's out of the army now.

anyway, athena had a bad molt. she went under, stayed under for 3 weeks, came up a pale grey/purple color and she was very weak. i put her in ISO and she seemed to get darker and stronger, but a month later she passed away. one of her legs didn't grow all the way, it seemed to stop after the 2nd joint, it was strange. so i'm sure that something went wrong but she was a fighter.

my cousin is in iraq. i hate it because im so scared for him! we sent him a care package for christmas though.. i hope he likes it!

I know what you mean about the worrying. We were very blessed. My little
brother was standing on the concrete with another guy talking when a mortar
bomb came in and landed a foot from my brothers foot. Thank God it was a dud.
It still broke up the concrete and hit his in his back and side. It went down 4 to 6
feet into the ground.

AMEN He sure was. I thank him everyday for that. He is home for the holidays here in Indiana I mean. He is stationed in Texas until June or July then he is done and gets to move home for good.

that's incredible! for some reason dad turned on a CNN special about wounded soldiers in iraq. we saw the same things and "took the same trip" that adam did when he was flown from falluja to germany to washington DC. it's insane. i think the whole thing is stupid and just needs to be over. adam and you brother both had guardian angels watching over them. i tried telling adam that but for reasons he won't tell me (i think it was having to watch so many friends die over there, including the one he was with when he was shot) he turned atheist.
