My largest hermit crab butchered a smaller one while I was training tonight. Now I want to smash him, but my family is stopping me. His shell was large enough and there was plenty of food. I'm very upset.

! ur bigger crab killed ur babe crab! maybe u should not put a bigger crab wtih a lil one i have a lil on n a med size one n they get along Great.....Well...Im very srry just dont hurt the other crab..

I have jumbo down to micro in my tank. I have 60+ hermies. You might need to take the bigger one and put it in ISO for a bit.

The killer is large and the one he killed was med to large. I took him out and put him in a little fish bowl.

He is the same crab I talked about in another post about a month ago. He attacked a crab as soon as I put him in the tank. I broke it up and he was fine until now. He has never pinced me. Just my daughter.

sounds like he's territorial. some crabs are like that. it's the reason i take as many of my hermies as i can into the store before buying another one to see how they get along. if they ignore each other, i take them!

Crap, I don't know who the murderer is. The one I just bought two nights ago just got ripped apart. I gone from 7 big ones down to 5 in two days. Blue was fine this morning know he is ripped to shreeds.

sounds like someone's got an attitude and needs some anger management training. that's really sad, i'm sorry you're having to go through this. i wonder what the deal is. it's a shame that you can't watch them 24/7 then you'd know.
