Swollen Leg?

I just took Neelix out for the first time to start getting him use to me but i noticed part of his leg looks swollen could this be a healed wound or infection or maybe just a "Unique" development?

Ok my other male Chakotay has the exact same swelling on the same side..is this a male crab thing?...i haven't checked Neelix (male) or my girl....can someone explain this please

That leg isn't swollen, it's their 'shield leg' when they're retracted into their shells. All crabs have that leg bigger than the rest.
