R.I.P GYNAVEEVE
Well after smelling a fishy smell for a couple of days i decided to completely dig up my crab Gynaveeve...She had been buried for about 4 weeks after only being up for maybe 4 days from a previous 18 day stint (i now believe was a false molt)...I was extremely gentle as i hoped she was still alive but her passing was confirmed when she plopped out of her shell and yes it was her not just exoskeleton....I only got my 3 crabs mid April so didn't get to know little Gynaveeve as well as i would of like but she will be missed never the less...I might get my male Gnome a new friend as he has been alone in the tank for almost 4 weeks as Rebel is buried in another tank (44days and counting)...

Re: R.I.P GYNAVEEVE
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. This is heartbreaking when it happens. But please do note, that a hermie who is in the molt process can also slide out of their shell due to how weak they are. But with the smell you noted too, please accept my condolences.
