I have 2 /4 of my PPs down for more than a week now ( hansel and Gretel )
I see a lot of threads going around that some peoples crabs are dead underground and there is no death smell present.
I am worried and have that urge to dig them up , and worried that they might be dead.
But one of my Crabs( Hexxus ) is digging like crazy and behaving like it's some sort of attack behavior
Can this mean that 2/4 of my crabs have accomplished the exo shed ??
How long does mediums be under ??

I think 1 of my PPs ( Lexxie) is holding up a moult
Take a good look at Lexxie's exo . Does it look cloudy eyed and very dry and ashy ??
Do you think she really is holding up her molt??
Lexxie has been very sluggish and wouldn't eat much..
She has been in the same shell for a long long time..
Is there anyway I can get her motivated??
You think I should iso her??

Re: Moulting questions
Once they burrow it can take from 1 week up to 3 months so be patient. Do not go digging about as this could be harmful or lethal to them.

Re: I think 1 of my PPs ( Lexxie) is holding up a moult
Have you read through the molting section of the Crab Care area or the molting posts? There is no way to force a hermie to molt, they molt when they want, if they want, where they want because they can.
Whereas pictures can only be 560 pixels here to upload them, the pictures you have uploaded are not loading to the larger version when they are clicked on.
Edited to add: Please keep all your molting concerns/post within the same posting so we are able to follow it easier. TY

Lexxie! She is very dormant
She comes out about a couple nights to get into the FW and SW pools, and eats very little
But mostly for long periods and about a weeks time, she is just in huts and at corners and..
She is VERY VERY dormant !!
She has not changed a shell in months and is not interested in the others I provide for her.
She is slow and sluggesh most days

Back to back moulting??
Hey, I notice that my Hexxus still has the moult sac from her previous molt on December 25th. But still keeping the sac.
But a few days ago she has gone under without resurfacing, so I am assuming that she must be down for another moult??
I donno
is it possible for back to back moulting??

Re: My Hexxus has already molted, but still keeping molt sac
I watched this video a few times pulling the video back and stopping it during the shell change and do not see a water sac?
