Feeder roaches for hermies?
I will start breeding dubia roaches for a crested gecko. They will be fully gut-loaded and EXTREMELY healthy. I was wondering when my adults get too old and kick the bucket, if they'd be safe for a hermie. (this would help me waste less)
My crew:
Snapper, Violet, Thrash, Finch, Splich-Splat, and Cookie

I don't think it would hurt to try as long as you know what the roaches have been eating. Let us know how it goes!

I was thinking...
Do you think it'd be better to kill some younger ones? I will have PLEANTY to spare. ( I would have only one gecko) The pre-dead ones may have died of sickness or something...

Re: Feeder roaches for hermies?
I would feed them the younger ones, when i used to breed meal worms, cricket, etc. I noticed that if one died they would start to break down quite quick, Then if i didn't get the dead one out quick the other adult insects would eat the dead one realy fast. So it was kinda hard to find a good dead one. Sickness might be something to worry about but if the dead one died of sickness most likely the others would have it too.
