Yay! Batman is moulting!!

Post by trockykitty »

After struggling with the deaths of 2 crabs, batman was my lone survivor for over a month. After seeking advice from everyone on here and making necessary changes to my tank, I woke up on Sunday to find batman missing....i figured he moved from his regular position as there is fantastic sand to play in. After doing my regular cleaning I lifted the water bowl to find a tiny glimpse of his shell!!!!! I am super excited! Thank you everyone for your help! :D

Good to hear trockykitty. :)
Since he is under the water dish, you may want to get another dish to set inside it to refill with water so you don't have to disturb him every couple days when you change it. Either that or set up another dish entirely for their water.

Good luck! And resist the urge to lift the dish and peek, it's such a sensitive time for your little crab!
Just come here and post if the urge gets too strong. :)

Sounds good trockykitty! :) How exciting too!! Best wishes for Batman to have a good molt and a speedy recovery. Get out those pacing slippers, it maybe a couple months before he will be ready to come up and say hi! Chelipeds crossed here!
