he has gotten very outgoing and comes out to see me when I come to the tank he'll also come out if I make soft clicking noises

Maybe a combination? Skip is just too cute. He's so lazy haha. He loves to prop 2 sides of his shell on things so he doesn't have to hold himself up...Silly crab. No wonder he won't change shells lol
