If you're offering dried food, you can leave it in the tank for a few days before taking it out. If you're offering fresh food, keep offering it daily, because you never know when they'll come back up and need food.

The amounts you put in the tank are so small anyway, these amounts would probably be tossed from someone's dinner plate or as scraps if you think about it, so it's not really a waste, just a little effort.

So my crabs have been under ground for over a week now, and I'm concerned about them eating. There are no signs of hm coming up at all, because they're completely buried. How long can they go without food?

There's no need to worry Ayume- if they get hungry they'll feed. Also, if you have a calcium based sand like aragonite, or coconut fiber substrate, they can be munching away on that while they are hidden too.
I had a crab I adopted, a big PP, who spend 3 weeks in the same spot, not molting, but in coconut fiber and under a piece of cork bark. He didnt' touch his food in all that time, but I realized he must have been munching away on the cocofiber and cork bark. He had lived on commercial food the past year, and had never had any wood in his tank. I believe he must have been starved for cellulose, a nutrient they need.
Don't worry, as Sterwick said, they will eat when they need to.
