things to do...

Post by rafaelos »

Well, Clampy was half-out of his shell but doesnt stink. I hurriedly placed him in a container within my tank. placed a bread(expires after 24hrs) with variety bites beside him... ive read the other things i could offer him during his molt and planned to get it tommorow after school. i was wondrin what other precautions and guidelines to follow during molting since i wasnt able to do good job on the first one to molt... *|

Eggshell is an easy calcium source. And some protein...scrambled or soft boiled egg yolk will work for that...if you use the shell, may as well use the egg too XD

Cover him if he is on the surface (I'm assuming he is from what you posted). Put the coco hut, or a cave...something...on top of him to give him darkness and peace :) Put the food close by. And leave him alone.

Oh crap... after 3 days Clampy passed away, dont why.... i checked him once each day to see his progess. but unusually he didnt move from his last position on the day he started moulting. this morning i smell something funky in the tank. and then BOOM, he's dead.... would anyone know what could be the reasons. he got everything(shade, silence, humidity 80+)
