That scared me! -help
So my baby hermit and my medium were underground. they were not moulting cuz I could tell they always come up and down, up and down. sometimes there shells are sort of above the sand. but I was cleaning out the tank and found 2 limbs( big claw and leg) of the baby hermit crab. I started to cry cause I never experienced this and I couldn't believe when I found him he was going to be dead. (the medium and the big was up at the moment) I searched thru the sand for him and other limbs. My finger finnaly hit the top of his shell. I was so scared. took him out slowly but then I saw him moving! HES ALIVE!!!!! HE MOULTED!! I was so happy. Lol. I looked at the limbs and the peices and they fell apart in my hand. I noticed they were hollow. Where do I put them? I put new sand and cleaned out everything. I put all them immediatly in a bowl of warm saltwater. They were so active. the baby who moulted was soo white and yellowish. What do I do?

Iso the baby crab. Set him and his exo on the sand. Make sure his exo isn't too far from him.

If he has dug under again, I would just leave him there. Sometimes mine don't eat their entire exo.

Did you bathe the moulter? Don't do that ever again. You could have avoided digging up the moulter if you had checked that the two limbs you found were hollow.
