Is it molting?

Post by pattycake101 »

My Hermie (Squirtle) has been down in the sand for two days now and I haven't seen any signs of him moving around. I have smoothed the sand around him but haven't seen any tracks. How do I know if he is died or moulting?

I am sure he is molding, you would be able to tell if he was dead because it would start to smell like dead fish in the tank. It has only been 2 days let them be. Kermi came up after 3 weeks and Soupy took 4 weeks to come up. It takes time. I am actually waiting for Orangy to go down, I hope she switches shells though first, her shell is way to big it doesn't even fit in the hermi hut and she has a hard time moving around with it.

Due to family issues my crabs have been adopted out to wizkidsmom (Cheryl), I know she will care for them like I did. Thanks Cheryl

Thank you! I hope Orangey go's down soon. I was hopeing that Squirtle would have changed shells to because it was getting small for him/her.

It looks like orangy is going down now, I can see her digging right now so I hope she goes and stays down. I guess I will see by tonight if she stays down or comes up. I am crossing my fingers.
