mites??

i found a mite on Nick and i'm worried they will infest, so far i've only found one in the tank , what can i do to stop them before the come.

clean and boil everything. bathe the hermies, boil the shells and wood and anything else in there that you can clean. It shouldn't get worse if you clean everything now. You'll want new substrate too if you find anymore of them.

I agree. That's what I had to do. Just do a really good deep cleaning/boiling, and you should be fine.

Did you sift and bake the sand before putting it in the tank? That's another way to kill mites before they get to your hermies. You have good eyes to catch that before it got worse! Good job!
