Pale crabbies...:[

Post by Hermies4Ever »

I recently rescued two purple p[inchers. they are mediums sizeed crabs that were living in horrible conditions. they are both very pale with hardly any color. Is there anything I can give them to help them gain color back???

Not sure about hermies but I know you can give carrots to other animals and it helps out with their colors.

You could maybe put a little honey on them. Most hermies seem to like honey

Unfortunately, a lot of the items on that list might be high in carateinoids, but my crabs won't touch them. Of that list, I would expect the items that your crabs would be most interested in is: papaya, mango, raisins, dandelion leaves, & cilantro. If you have some of the other items already you could try them, but since you are shopping especially for your crabs, I'd invest in some of their favorite foods.

Also, I think the coconut idea is great because the crabs may be pale from general bad diet and coconut has good stuff they need altho' it doesn't specifically boost color.
