Re: 4 molters
jadexox,
The one molting for over 7 months, this crab has surfaced? How much different does it look? Is it much bigger?
There is also a chance that perhaps the crab was being extremely shy and only coming out at night while you were asleep. it's not normal for it to take 7 months, the longest I've heard is up to 5 months. I'm going to guess your crab may have been coming up for water and food (or eating substrate and drinking from the moist substrate?) during all that time.

Re: crooked leg
Where along the leg is it bent? Before Juno died, the leg tip of his extra thick leg was bent in a strange way, but his other legs were normal.

Re: 1st molter yay!
A bent leg can be caused from a couple different reasons. It could be due to the way he was laying after he shed his exo and the leg was in that position when he was recovering.
It could be deformed due to some form of toxins, bacteria or mold. What type of plants and dead leaves do you have within your tank, and what do you use for a substrate.
If the leg is bothersome, he will throw it on his own. Otherwise it may fix itself with his next molt.

Doubtful. Crabs' bodies aren't the same as ours - they don't have bones and muscles the way that we do. While it would be extraordinarily painful for us to have a twisted leg, based off of how crabs in that situation act, I would say that it probably doesn't hurt them much at all.
