I'm Back!

Post by erikleeson »

Wow, its been so long since I last posted on this website. Many of you probably think that I was dead, but I have been here, watching.

Alot has happened since I was gone. And there was a HUGE change. I got rid of the hermit crabs.

It was because they where to hard to maintain. Whenever I was at my mom's house, the crabs would be left unattained. I could rarely care for them. Usually I would just bike there but in Canada it snows so much its impossible to bike. My ruggie ended up dying, and thats when I knew they had to go. I didn't want to get rid of them, but I knew they'd do better in a good home.

So I took them to the pet shop, a good one. I examined their set ups and it was perfect. They told me that they rarely spray the tanks, but it was understandable because the store itself is so humid, its kind of hard to breath. They have a hygrometer for the store itself, and it was 87%.

They had heating pads and eco earth and they used all my supplies as well and made a whole new set up. It looks great. I'm kind of sad though, because what if some of them get sold to a bratty kid who keeps them in a bowl? But I'm past that now. I still have my goldfish which live at my mom's. And I can still care for them because my mom's house is close to my school, and every day after school I can go there and feed the fish. But now, thinking back, I don't know why I didn't just move the hermit crabs to my mom's house 8|

Anyways, the crabs are gone. I have to go remove them from my signature :(
Probably the worst thing I'll ever have to do on this website.

So thats whats been going on for me anyways, in case you where wondering. And even though I don't have any more hermies, I will still try and continue to post and help others on this forum. I still know my way around these guys =)

Wow, it's been a while since you've been around these here parts! Welcome back, and I'm sorry you had to get rid of the crabs. Never a happy day when you have to do that, although we'll just have to have faith that the store made sure that people knew how to take care of them. :)

Welcome back! I'm sorry to hear about your ruggie. Rugs seem rare these days.

Welcome back Eric!
hey, you can put your crabs in your sig, just list them as adopted out. :) Then they aren't gone, but remembered.
Sorry you had to do that, but you did the best thing for them. My guess is that when you're all grown and have your own place, you're going to get more. :D

Yeah. I've been way too busy with school work lately and whatnot. Then my internet was down for a while. :( Also my brother broke his neck, so I've had to help him out for the past month and a half. Luckily he's getting his halo off in 6 weeks. But I'm glad to be back!
