how do i know if hes molting or just burying himself? I just got a new crab and he completly buried himself and he doesnt look like hes coming up at all..i dont want to disturb him if hes molting but if he is i want to know so i can remove my other crab from the tank...what should i do???

When a crab molts, or you suspect a molt, you must be patient. This is the ultimate test for the owner. You must not dig up the crab, whether you think he is molting or not. You may want to check, but by digging him up you may stress him out and kill him. If possible, remove the other crab from the tank is you're worried. If he comes up and hasn't molted, you can move him back.
