I saw it this time! : ) yay. I saw a shell change twice. Its the same hermie and he goes in and out of the same shell. his abdomen is so big for the shell he is in i dont know how it fits in there.

Hi Krabbykate!

Awesome video! Ricky and I have watched it a couple of times and are very surprised at how fast the change actually is! But I guess it makes sense because in the wild, the one caught outside the shell is probably lunch/dinner. We have had 2 change shells but haven't actually seen it happen so we were wondering how it's done! Too bad the molts don't go as fast!

Well thanks. I watched her change shells about 5 or 6 times that night. I knew when she was going to change shells again, so I got the camera out as fast as I could. She's the only crab I've seen changing shells. Her abdomen looks really weird. I knew what they looked like, but to see it in real life is different. Yeah, I wish molts were that fast too!
