Can crabs eat watermelon?

My dad seems to have some fasination with feeding my hermit crabs watermelon and I really don't want to have dead crabs, so I was wondering if it was safe to let my hermit crabs eat watermelon?

Yes watermelon is safe for hermies. There is a list of safe foods in another post.

My PPs have never ate watermelon much, but my ruggies took to it very well. Other melons are okay too: cantaloup, honeydew, etc.

Was before we had them. Think the iguanas had some though and they liked it.
