FIRST SURFACE MOULT!!!!!

sorry iluv, i deleted the hermie heaven topic about zeus. thanks for your support, however zeus didn't die! he did a surface moult over night! when we got up this morning his exo was hanging on to the bottom of the opening of his shell and he was inside, really pale though. hopefully he'll brighten up in color soon. we're really excited about this! the brown spots on him are gone though. think they were a sign of premolt?

obviously, i've never seen a hermie who has just molted. is it common for a large to shed his exo overnight? i didn't know it was that quick. he's eaten most of it, just the appendages left. he's still in ISO with salt water, bloodworms and calcium. he's still rather pale...is this normal? his pincher is more of a lavender. will it brighten as he hardens?

I am not sure either I have never seen a surface molt ot one who has molted recently. Mine all bury down for a long time.

Keeping me wondering and worrying.
