Bathing?
Ok I know I have asked before but I can't find where I posted the question. For bathing my hermies, I have the top to a pie tin, it's plastic and about 1 inch deep. Put enough salt water in it to cover the crab right? Add stress coat? When I place them in the water it should cover them completly or half submerged? Should they be out of their shell or doesn't it matter?
Thanks again
Thanks again

As long as there is no metal on it that would work. I put in dechlorinizer and hermie salt in mine. Make the water deep enough that the water can get into their shells. Place the crab in the water upside down let them flip themselves over so the water will rush in and wash out any substrate they may have pulled into their shells. Do not leave them in more than 3-5 minutes. I am not sure about the stress coat some say add it some say no don't. I myself do not add it in their bathes.

I always bathe mine in salt. I am not sure which would be better though.

first of all, stress coat is no need. It's for fish, hermit crabs don't have stress coats. It's for fish so that they can have a caost of slime over their bodies, and crabs don't need it, and it can be on-healthy for them.
I like to bathe mine in salt water with some fresh water, so the salt water isn't so strong.
