I've scoured this site but I really need someone to tell me more about surface moulters. Other posts are being responded to, and mine aren't. This is kind of a time sensitive subject (yes I've used the search bar)
Right now he's ISO in sand with 82F and 79%H The light is kept dim there, slightly dimmer at night and he has places to hide. I have not sprayed him directly. I only disturb him for changing water (salt and fresh) or food and the sides of his ISO are covered. I have calcium in there for him in 3 forms. Its in dust form over his food, in the form of natural coral and a bird supplement (the white surfboard looking thing).
What else do I need to make sure I'm doing?

I can't think of anything else to do. I would do the same, so hopefully he'll make it through.

Re: Fussy new crabber
Does he have a cooler end he can move to? 82* is pretty much near the top of the temp range, and I noticed my molters seem to like the cooler end when they do bury down. I mean 73-75*f cool, too.
If you can move the heat source so it concentrates more on one end and lets the other end cool a bit, that would probably be good.
And I agree with Wai, it sounds like you may have it all under control there, you've done what you can, now it's up to him.

Re: Fussy new crabber
Suprisingly, after I came home from class today, he had wreaked the place, tipped over coral and even knocked my hygro meter into the salt water dish. I have to replace it now..
Anyways, he burried down, i'm not too concerned.
Thanks for the help.
