I would just leave her alone. She will come up when she is ready. I would make sure there is food and fresh and salt water both in there. Mine have come up to eat and drink and then went right back down. They also can come up and will be hungry and thirsty.

i didn't know they came up during a molt to eat/drink. none of mine have...how weird.

i thought that they didnt go down unless they had enough food and water to last them theri entire molt. I could be wrong but i hvae never heard of peoples crabs just coming up during a molt. weird.

maybe apollo is just coming up for food and water before going under again...? he's a jumbo and has only been under for 2.5 months. he ate all the food that was in there twice. how do you know if they're mid molt? he's got the dark color, is active and has the black tips.

Sometimes my crabs come up two times then molt...one of my crabs kept coming up every single night, but he died (he waited to long, I suppose...he got really weak).

weird. did they have the black tips? how can you tell if a hermie has completed their molt?

when i hold apollo the tips seem to get sharper. lol. he likes to go up my arm, i can't allow that unless i have a sleeve lol.

yeah the "black tips" are theri nails. they are always nice and sharp when they have just finished molting. its possible that apollo is just going to grab a bite to eat and then destress.

BTW, my crabs molt even when they do have black tips, but usually when the tips are really sharp and black, that's when they probably have molted.
