Crabs have very good senses of smell to help them find food in the wild, so they do know that there is food in the tank. Try offering some fresh (steamed or sauteed) shrimp and see if they come out for it. That always got my guys out of hiding if they were on the surface. And try to stop handling them as much - give them time to adjust before you handle them daily. They're trying to get used to a new house, but handling re-stresses them out for now. You can handle them later, but give them some time for now.
Will do, with regards to offering them shrimp. Yes, I've been leaving them alone and they've all buried themselves. They'll come out when they're ready Thank you for your advice!
