Both of my PPs are like that, which is why my fiancee won't let me get more PPs. My Es do it too, just not as much.
Smaller crabs tend to be under more as well because they have to molt more often. Generally, the bigger the crab, the more often it's on the surface.

Yep My PP's have done that too. They burrow in to de-stress more than the E's, too. My E's spent a lot of time on the surface when I first got them - oh hey duh I just realized that when I noticed all the digging going on, it was about a week before Jeffrey went down for his molt. lol. He's a little E.

miko surfaced molted...hes doing good though, he changes shells and everything, he seems bigger, and more darker in color..
