ou can try to clean them and soak them in some soap and water and see if the smell goes away. If it doesn't go away I would not use it. If you get rid of the smell and you place water in there if there is any kind of oil on the surface I wouldn't use it either.

I wouldn't use it if i were u. especially with that smell. they use the same thing on painted shells. that clear coat car paint. if the ingest that its over. i dont think its a good idea myself. and its adding unecessary weight to the tank.

I left them out overnight, and they've been sitting in the sun all morning. The smell has partially gone away, but i'm not trusting them. Might turn them into bird feeders or something outside, where the smell won't be strong haha. Have some replacement bowls and things coming from ebay, so looks like it's the old plastic containers 'til then :D

Congrats on the progress HermieLove. Haha.

About the bowls, I'm not too sure. If you're unsure about something, I wouldn't take any chances. I would just get some other ones that don't smell like that, just to be safe.

Yeah, I'm not trusting them bowls, they're definitely suss, so outside to the birds they go haha.

Bought some new foods for Greg and Gordie today, gave them some apple and banana sprinkled with almond meal, and Greg has been sitting on the food bowl for the past hour eating! I also froze some fruit and meat for them, hopefully it'll be fine when thawed, because 1 piece of fruit will last ages for them as long as I can keep it somehow lol. Is polenta safe for them? I couldnt find it on the safe or unsafe list.

That sounds like a good idea. I'm getting some freeze dried things from the crabbage patch. There's no shipping for them if you buy something else.

I have no clue what polenta is. Hope someone else can help you with that.

On the ingredients on the polenta packet it says it's 100% maize polenta lol, so i'm gathering it's maize meal or something.

I also have there bloodworm treat things, it's bloodworms mixed in gel stuff, but it has a lot of ingredients, so might have to look them up one by one lol
