kinda worried....

My medium PP Nemo dug down for the first time today. all the way to the bottom! (I have about 4 1/2 in. of sand) luckily though he kinda gave me a little window into his cave and I can see him through the glass, my question is though; is he moulting? I thought I caught a glimpse of the tell tale "black bump" but I'm not sure. I can hear him digging still and hitting the glass but is he just digging or moulting? I'm worried because this is my first possible moulting encounter. I also picked up some very small crabs to add to the tank(bringing my total up to 6 hermies now). One of which is a very light almost tan color. I thought he was a PP but his color doesn't match the others, I could be wrong but is it possibly an E? The weird colored crab has recently been very lethargic and I'm not sure if he has surface moulted or is sick. I'm not sure what to do with him. I though he might have been just de-stressing but I'm worried he might die. any advice?

First of all congratulations on teh new hermies. Second don't get excited about the little window into his hole cause they like to tease us that way. UMMM about the digger if it stays down for a few days then it is a good possibility that it is going to molt. They do dig down to the bottom. If you have it where you can see under it you can keep an eye on the little bugger. T is hard to say what it is without seeing a picture. Also it may be de stressing that can take a couple weeks to go through depending on the trauma it went through before you got it. Just keep an eye on it and let it be.

yeah, they dig for a couple reasons, so like iluv said, dont' get too excited unless he stays under for more than a few days. he could also be looking for his "prime spot" to molt. So he could dig down a couple more places before deciding on a spot.
