is the paint on the shells bad for them if so when i get one with a painted shell as soon as it moves i'm washing it

The paint on the shells can be harmful if they eat it. It is best to offer them natural shells. You may have to boil the shell when the hermie changes to a new one. Sometimes the paint is hard to get off.

oh thanks i guess when i get my new ones i will get them to mave shells and then wash those shells for them just in case

the only hermie that is in a painted shell is apollo. when he changes shells i plan to take the paint off of it. he's a jumbo and has been under for 2 months, i don't plan to see him until valentine's day or even adam's bday (march 21) lol.
