hermi w/ one eye

i had my hermi for a while now and when i first got him he had both eyes but after he molted the first time he lost an eye and now he only has one. what caused this? will his eye come back at all? even if he molts again? please reply[/s]

He can regenerate the eyestalk from a moult, but not the eyeball.
