My Hermti crab is molting i think...

Ok for a couple of Dayz my hermit crab has been in the sand...Under it u can c His shell a lil So i Just covered it Up hes Been down there for i would say 5 or more dayz...Not moving....My temp is around 70-75 but my humity is Realli high like 90 or soo.............N it would go Down But he Seens to be doing Fine.....................No Fishy smell so he isnt died do u think he is molting..? How long to they stay under I didnt have salt water in the Cage so he didnt get salt water B4 he went in the sand is that bad????????

Please Help

I would think that your hermie is molting. It depends on how big your hermie is as to how long it will stay under. On average this is a chart:
Micro 1-2 weeks
small 4-6 weeks
Medium 5-8 weeks
Large 2-3 months
Jumbo 3-4 months
This is just an average they can stay down longer or surface sooner.

Having salt water can help make it easier to molt. If it was me I would put some in now cause they can come up for food or water sometimes.

really? they can come up from a molt looking for food/water? i didn't know they could do that and still be ok. that's interesting.

I had one come up and change shells before and then go back down and finish molting

Lol, yeah mine do that all the time. They come up after two weeks and eat and then go back down, and then actually molt.

My hermit crab Just came up yester day went to the water Bowl and drink some water i had raisen and oatmeal and hrmit crab food in there n i dont know if he ate any...and i had salt water there n i dont think he went in to But now this morning Hes moltin again....But hes not fully Covered lik hs shell n stuff so Should i cover it?

I don't think it matter's if you cover it or not. I would rather just leave him alone, though. To be on the safe side.

I think he will burry him self as much as he wants.

he came bak up again...and i placed salt water in the cage and he drank some then went to the fresh water and Drank some then went in the plastic coconut Hut with thee other crab
