Updating: Tank Size
I currently have 3 medium sized hermit crabs in a 10-gallon tank and am currently in the process of updating the tank. But, many people seem to have different opinions on the tank size. I have found a 50-gallon tank for a cheap price and would like to use this. But, I read the jumbos need a tank that is at least 75 gallons. Can I get away with using a 50 gallon (24" tall) for 3 jumbos (assuming they even get that big)?

Just use the 50 gallon tank, that is plenty of space for three medium crabs.
