Finally A Working Hygrometer!!!
I have had a humidity gadge since i have had my tank set up since April at first it would say 60% and not rise then after a while it was at 50%...i kept trying to increase the humidity buy keeping an eye on the misting and adding tea towels over the tank...i read about a salt test for the anolog gadge i had and did that as described...my gadge read 35 below what the actual reading was according to the salt test..my gadge then started reading 30-40%max so adding the 35% discrepancy it was actually reading 65% most of the time....I had a hunch this could be off still as it felt very humid to my hand...Today i decided to get the Zoo Med hermit crab thermometer/humidity anolog combo gadge which wasnt cheap at $25...And wow the humidity is now reading 85% temp is 75degreesC(my thermometer i had this whole time says the same temp)...The Zoo Med duo gadge seems very good....I Do NOT Recommend The $14 URS Reptile anolog hygrometer gadge!!!....I am regretting not getting the Zoo Med duo gadge in the first place!!!

Re: Finally A Working Hygrometer!!!
Thanks for the heads up! I also have a hygrometer (digital) that I am slightly suspicious of - I have a feeling that I may have sprayed some water on it which has reached its insides...

Hmm maybe if you put it in a tub of raw rice like you do when your mobile phone gets wait that will help...i almost bought the reptile one digital hygrometer off ebay but the zoo med duo one was right there in the store so i just grabbed that.
