food for large hermies

do large hermies need more or extra nutrition than littler ones? my little ones like fruit, especially grapes and they love dried blood worms. can i use these foods for the large ones?

Yeah, you can use the same foods for your big ones than you do for the small ones. You just need more food in there the more crabs you have and the bigger ones can eat more than the small ones.

okay, a shell dish will work fine, adding larger crabs wont make taht big o a difference. you'll need deeper pond (ones they can fully sumerge in) and is you l ike food dishes are fine, but shells are too. i find my crab like bigger dishes they can sit in, lol

just be careful with deeper ponds.. you dont want your litte crabs drwining because they cant get out! make sure to put a seapaonge in each dish so if they happen to fall in they can hopefully get back out.

in the ponds that i bought for my littles ones, one is a ramp, so they can get out and the other has a stick in it, but i have put round glass rocks in the bottom so they climb in and out of it just fine. so i need a big pond where the big ones can completely submerge themselves? any suggestions?

TUPPER-WEAR (or however you spell it!!) works GREAT! i used one and cut it to the right size. make suer there are no sharp edges.

Well I would say get one that is big enough and deep enough and on one side put in rocks and a sponge so they can make it to that end to get out but the big ones can still get in and soak if they want to.

thats too funny! when she brought them in, the sponge was in a small tupperware container! so i changed that with saltwater bc it was shallow enough and i added rocks. then i had a small tupperware container i put 2 sponges and fresh water in. they seem to work well. they also came with food, looks like 1/2 inch long rod like things that are covered in corn meal or some kind of powder. i'll try fruit and other things as we get acquainted.
