Re: Questions
I would strongly recommend mixing it in a bottle as mentioned, shaking a few times during the 12-24 hour period. I am sorry, but being a strawberry owner myself and having the same ones for 6+ years now I see/know how dependent they are on the ocean/sea water pond. (more so than our E's) so to block off the ocean pond when they are so dependent on it IMO is wrong. *shrugs*.

on my crabs
I have some pictures but not of Popeye. He sneaks back into that shell quickly and can totally hide when he wants. I am afraid to tramatize the crabs with flash from camera etc. But I will post some pictures pretty soon of what I got already.
What I did was buy a small sized plastic basket (looks like a miniature laundry basket) I cut the solid bottom out and placed it on is side so the bottom is facing the back wall of the tank. The side is now the bottom and I put some coconut substate on it with the coconut shell on top of that. I also worried about backing them but actually with the basket there, some like to lay on top of it and they do not get direct heat as it is a slight lift off the bottom of the tank for them. So far very lucky and count them all looking "good". Tomorrow is Popcorn treat day and I figure after that they will settle in for a good nights scavaging.
Good luck to you...

Re: Questions
I will begin doing that then. No reason to be sorry! I am thankful that you are giving me advice. I'll stop blocking off their saltwater dish and just shake it up occasionally in a bottle, as you recommended.
Ah, I understand. Popeye sounds fun. xD Nice! That sounds very fun to make and such. I'm sure they looove it. Good luck to you, too!
