Sally I am shocked at some of the info I read, and not many will research but just take an others word. I did look up Water crystals on Google and (no offense) but assumed this was surely different than what Google brought up.

IMO I thought "Surely nobody would use this in a hermies water supply!" This is why I asked what they were, I did not want to jump to conclusions.
The internet is full of information, some good and also some lethal. One does need to be careful what they read where, as well as who they take advice from.
Thanks again Sally for the heads up!

Re: Is this irritating my Hermit Crab?
You're welcome. The search term I used on Google was "Water gelling agent". It comes up with more technical info on the stuff.
No offense taken at you searching for yourself. I do the same thing. I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to some things. LOL! The internet just reflects what's out there in the "real" world. It's just easier to find online. I mean -- look at how long BC (before computers) the mis-information about hermie care was out there & being taken as "gospel truth"! Some people just take other people's words for things & don't do research because they're too lazy. Sounds hersh, I know, but it's the truth. I commend the people on this forum & others that are at least TRYING to find out information.
