1st successful moult!

Post by docswife34 »

We have only owned hermit crabs since June 2010 so this is all new to us. Our 9 year old son brought one home from the beach while visiting his grandparents. Since then, we purchased 2 more in September. One of the new ones, our biggest one, has been down for a week or so. He emerged early this morning but was hiding by his igloo and some greenery so I couldn't see him well. Tonight, there he was! Sitting on top of the coco hut as if he were showing off his "new color". Now, we're pretty sure the other new one will be next. He's been digging alot lately and spending alot of time at the food and water dishes. :D
